Even in elementary school I learned from my grandfather from Witten following proverb.
In the east, the sun rises,
in the south, it takes its course,
in the West it is
in the north under go is they never see.
This saying today I really know''.''
And that is me today when we noticed the evening in search of a hotel were.
It was around 18 h, and the sun was still held at arm's about a hand's breadth above the horizon.
I remembered that at the most easterly point of our trip, it was already dusk to 18pm.
times I then looked at my clever GPS device after sunrise and sunset times, and made the following observation:
Today:
Dogubayazit (eastern Turkey) , Sunrise: 05:56 clock
(1269 line kilometers of here away) sunset: 17:52 clock
Usak (west of the Turkey) Sunrise: 06:54 clock
Sunset: 18:51 clock
Sunset: 18:51 clock
means that we have run out in just five days exactly 59 minutes longest day!
Is not that amazing? So I was not previously aware of.
If perhaps because Germany is not 1269 km wide. (Ie should have been so against 18:45 clock) :-)
Consistent with this finding is a picture of today's sunset at the entrance to the city Usak.
